HNSciCloud supports answering key policy and regulatory questions at the ESA-ESPI Workshop on “Space Data & Cloud Computing Infrastructures: Policies and Regulations”
HNSciCloud joined the one-day ESA (European Space Agency) - ESPI (European Space Policy Institute) Workshop on “Space Data & Cloud Computing Infrastructures: Policies and Regulations” to contribute to the discussion on how to address some of key policy and regulations questions – such as concerning data rights and IPRs – raised by today’s continuous digitalization process, and in particular by the growing use of distributed computing for science data.
The overarching goal of the workshop was to provide reflections, advice and guidelines on how to address policy, regulations and legal issues related to the exploitation of space data in cloud computing environments.
Over 80 participants from ESA, EC, national space organisations, e-infrastructures/projects and European IT companies attended the event.
Many of the ESA representatives shown interest in joining the HNSciCloud Adopters Group. More information on the Group will be shared after summer.
