Business model innovations on potential EOSC-related usage: HNSciCloud at the the EOSC Stakeholders Forum, 22 November 2018

On the 22nd of November, Jurry de la Mar, Account Director for International Research and Space Programs, T-Systems, joined the Industry session at the EOSC Stakeholder Forum in Vienna, representing HNSciCloud. While addressing how the EOSC can be made highly relevant for the private sector, Jurry de la Mar cited HNSciCloud as a success story on how science and industry can collaborate to change regulations and make data more relevant to industry.

“An example use case for Pan-Cancer was run by Helix Nebula with very satisfactory results for the users. The main data remained at EMBL but could be analyzed with a commercial cloud in a hybrid cloud model, providing the users with better tools and capabilities e.g. large-memory machines on-demand.”
