Meet HNSciCloud at DI4R 2017: the programme is now available!

With about one month left to go, the heart of the European Union, Brussels, is getting ready to host the second edition of Digital Infrastructures for Research 2017 (DI4R), a joint event organised by the major European e-Infrastructure initiatives (EGIEUDATGÉANTOpenAIRE , PRACE and RDA Europe). The full conference programme has now been released (view it here) and it counts over 20 sessions, 2 plenaries, and of course plenty of opportunities to network and enjoy the central location.

HNSciCloud will be there!

HNSciCloud will contribute to the event with an interactive session led by Bob Jones (CERN and Helix Nebula) on “Procurement of commercial services for research communities” that will be taking place on Friday 1st December, 11:00-12:30 in Room 215 & 216.

HNSciCloud had progressed to the point that groups of researchers now have access to a range of innovative commercial services integrated with Europe’s publicly funded e-infrastructures. This session will summarise the types of services currently available and their usage by research communities highlighting important lessons learned in making this happen.  Service procurement as foreseen in the recently approved EOSC-Hub project will be explained and future opportunities for the research community explored.

Finally, don’t forget to check out our poster to learn more how the innovative HNSciCloud hybrid-cloud platform, leveraging on both public and private cloud service providers, can support science. The Poster will focus on early results from the Pre-Commercial Procurement, the innovative services delivered by the future platform, the procurement aspects involved in it, and the target users that will become its first customers.

Early-bird registration has been extended to the 3rd of Nevember! What are you waiting for? Register now here. We look forward to see you in Brussels!
