Preparing for High-Luminosity LHC. HNsciCloud presented at the Open Science Conference 2018 in Berlin

The Open Science Conference 2018, 13-14 March 2018, Berlin, Germany is the 5th international conference organized by the Leibniz Research Alliance Science 2.0. It is dedicated to the Open Science movement and provides a unique forum for researchers, librarians, practitioners, infrastructure provider, policy makers, and other important stakeholders to discuss and exchange their ideas and experiences.

In his presentation, Bob Jones, HNSciCloud coordinator, explored the data management needs of the High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC) project and, building on the experience of 10 years of operation of the LHC, highlight the avenues being pursued by the physics community to ensure access on a global scale. Helix Nebula Science Cloud hybrid cloud procurement and governance approaches, suitable for the dynamic cloud market, were presented, too.
